52 Week Challenge: Week 14/April 3rd - Technical: Panning

Evening all,

Another 52 Week Challenge theme done and dusted – did everyone manage to catch the sun during golden hour last week? Easier said than done at this time of year…

Tomorrow, April 3rd we begin Week 14, and this weeks’ theme is:

Technical: Panning

Use the technique of panning to capture a subject in movement. Panning is using a slower shutter speed while following the subject with the camera to create the sense of movement in an image.

This is a technique I don’t think I’ve tried before… looking forward to seeing everyones’ results!

@dibzgreasley @ludwigsdiana No worries, that's the beauty of this challenge, it goes on all year so it's no biggie if you decide to pass on a few themes or if you don't find a suitable subject one week, plus you can always leave a space and fill it in later if the photo opp arises :)

thanks for the reminder... but ugh... me and panning do not get along... on top of sucking at it, i can never figure out a way to use it to get an image i like... i guess it will be good practice though... tx!
