Thank you to @robz for hosting the last challenge! Details for the new challenge:
START DATE: Today, 25th July
END DATE 9th August (Just by the end of the day wherever you live) That way it will be a full two weeks for the challenge)
TAG: WWYD-172
Voting will take place shortly after the 9th August and will be open for several days.
So here are the rules:
- Save the starting image on your computer. NOTE: If you select the “Sizes” under the right-side menu and scroll down to the Original or Large option you can copy and paste to your browser or download.
- Edit the photo in any way you wish - to produce an image that YOU like.
- Upload the photo you edit to one of your albums and tag it WWYD-172
- It would be great if you could add your image to this discussion thread to keep the thread alive. To do this go to your edited photo, click on the arrow by your comment and fav numbers, copy the "embed" code which appears in a new small window, and paste it here in one of the "comment" boxes below.
- Multiple entries are very much encouraged!!
There are no editing rules. Edit the starting image any way you’d like. Produce any image to your liking. You are welcome to produce just a slightly changed image, an image with a new story to tell, an abstract or a surreal image, a composite, a double exposure, or even something which has only a tiny link to the starting image.
No editing software on your computer? No problem – go to a site like Picmonkey and upload/edit your pic for free. You won’t be able to use all the features but there are plenty you will be able to use.
The idea of the WWYD Challenges is to push yourself to try new editing techniques! If you’re just beginning work on tones, colours, lighting and exposure curves, cloning, sharpening and other effects such as distortions, textures and additions to your image. As you get more familiar with all the editing tools you can add things like dodge and burning, layers, masking and different effects. As you push yourself even more move to image extractions and full compositions. Remember to keep pushing and learning, and most of all have fun along the way!
Good luck to everyone and happy editing! Have fun! We’ll look forward to your creations.
@ingrid01 Just under your image Ingrid, next to the comment & feedback count there is a small box with an arrow, click on that then copy and paste the embed code on here :)
@joysabin Oh, I like that effect - kind of ghostly! @ulla ... brrr....not ready for that kind of weather just yet! I like what you did - "winter is coming!" @kipper1951 - very nice reflections! I still can't figure out how to do those! @ingrid01 I see that Suzanne answered your question, I took a look at your edit and it's great! Love the cow in the front with the tongue lol. @suzanne234 Very creative! You never fail to disappoint in these challenges.
@not_left_handed Thanks DawnLouise. To create a reflection (as this one one should duplicate the layer, flip it vertically, then position it where one requires it, deleting the bits no required.Hope that offers some help.
