Poor Knights Lily by dkbarnett

Poor Knights Lily

Not even out yet, but I had to share. I have had these growing in my garden for many years and it is so exciting to see a flower bud - the first ever for this particular bed of plants. For those who aren't from New Zealand, these are a spectacular native plant hailing from the Poor Knights Islands in the north. (Xeronema) When they are in the right place they have lots of spectacular bottle brush looking flowers.
Just popping out - at the moment it looks as if there is an infestation of green and red worms! This will change!

@maggiemae Yes it will - it does look a bit weird at the moment, but I am really excited about it :-)
