I love it when I find small ornaments decorating alleyways or entrances to backstreet lanes. There is a lot going on in this picture: the flaking limestone, the ceramic head of the dog, the print of the boy which I would say dates from the 50's and the cane and woolen tasseled things capping the pickets of the gate. The whole says something about the owner. I just wonder.
