Waiting for summer by elza

Waiting for summer

Down at Gnejna Bay after I was hit with a 3 minute hail storm. I was lucky to have been sheltering when it started. I took a few shots of the waves crashing against the rocks just below me using long exposures but the wind was so strong that most pictures where unusable even though I used a heavy tripod.
This is a composite of the caravan and beach which I shot at a high speed and the sea which has been smoothed by the long exposure. So rather than catching one wave I wanted to smooth it out with the white foam. I used the golden ratio to capture the caravan which seems to be waiting for summer and transparent waters.
You certainly worked for this one!

I should say! A nice composition, too.

I like the smoothing and glad you were in shelter. Hailstones hurt!

Love the composition, glad you were safe from the hailstones

Fabulous long exposure capture. Fav. I find it very difficult to do this but I never carry a tripod with me.

@ruminator @aikimomm @casablanca @jacqbb @sangwann Thanks for your comments and your time. Apologies for being absent. I never realised that retirement time for me would be so busy. Most of the time I have to juggle lots of different things and then prioritise!
