I wonder by elza

I wonder

Ever wondered what goes on in people's minds? I often find myself asking what is the history of this or that person. What is their outlook on life? What makes them happy or sad? What lurks behind that stare? I wonder.
Again mystery emphasised by the silhouette of another woman in the background.
There's only two more shots to complete this series that I promised myself. Today we had an afternoon picknick at our usual spot in the Buskett woodland. The grandchildren were wearing carnival costumes and the photos that I took did not fit the series for this b&w February. I'll share one or two later.
Really interesting b&w candid

Yes I always wonder. Reminds me of the Sixto Rodriguez song 'I wonder': https://www.google.com/search?q=sixto+rodriguez+i+wonder&oq=sixto+rodriguez+I+wonder&aqs=chrome.0.0i355i512j46i512j0i512j0i20i263i512j0i512l2j0i22i30l4.11490j0j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

And also of lyrics from the Dory Previn song "Scared to be Alone':
'We never stop to wonder
Till a person's gone
We never yearn
To know him
Till he's travelled on
When someone is around us
We don't know what we're seeing
We take a polaroid picture
To find the human being'.

Great photo and narrative.

I often wonder what other people are thinking too.

when i was in a writing group twenty or so years ago, i had revealed to my group that my inspiration for my short stories comes from people i have observed or sometimes at the food court i try to listen in on conversations, or sometimes because people talk uninhibitedly thinking that nobody is paying attention to them other than the ones they're with. then our professor introduced to the group photographs of strangers like the ones you have taken these last several days and we would write a story based on that photograph. it's unbelievable how 15 different stories would result in looking at just one simple photograph of ordinary people - some pleasant, some sad, some sinister, some comical, and sometimes even a murder story or a science fiction story. all your photographs in the series, i'm pretty sure, when presented to a group of writers would invoke a lot of ideas and could result in good and interesting reading. aces!

@summerfield That is a super place to get your inspiration and how interesting to get so many variables from one situation. I agree, this series would make a great writer's inspiration set.

@milaniet @denful @wakelys @borof @beverley365 @carolmw @kjarn thanks for your comments and for your time. @casablanca @summerfield thanks for your comments and how true it is about inspiration. When I make up stories for my grandchildren and even the characters I have in an unpublished long story which I mentioned in some other upload, I often get a mix of people that I had observed or know into one character of my stories.@ankers70 thanks for adding the link to the song.
Today the last day of February I happen to be away from home, which is one of our frequent get aways to Gozo where I have (intentional) limited connectivity. I'll probably be uploading my last shot for February tomorrow.
