Rain, rain, rain! But a brilliant day with @Padlock and a friend. I had promised a trip to Bushy Park to see the annual rut and the deer obliged. One by one our lenses got longer and longer and I felt quite inferior next to @Padlock and @CreamPuff.
We saw a Kingfisher which I have never seen before in the Park but it was quite a distance so my photo was not that good. Out of a damp days shoot this is my favourite. This stag was resting in the ferns and only just about raised his head as we crept by, We each rattled off a few shots before rapidly departing. He didn’t stand up but just stuck out his tongue as us!
I hope @NicolaEastwood will be able to make it next time - I need moral support with camera lenses!
Ha, I always promised you a big one. Looks really good though. Really enjoyable day pity about Nicola but next time. You must have a gentle walk over to where the Kingfisher was, suggest take a stool and a pair of binoculars. Really enjoyed it and I think the access to the deer was better than you normally get at Woburn.
