I nipped down to Teddington Lock but the sunset was not actually that impressive this evening.

On the way home I went via the back way down Watts Lane that you can see signed on the right. It struck me how pretty Teddington High Street looks with the Christmas lights on and how sad and dull it will look in a few days time when the decorations have to come down on 12th night. So here are just some of the lights recorded for posterity before the dark days of an undecorated January arrive.

Lovely atmospheric capture, Emma. "The dark days of an undecorated yanuary" perfectly sums up my feelings about that month. February is pretty bad too, but at least it brings us a little closer to spring.
