29th December 2015

The sun starts to set on 2015… well in a couple of days anyway.

We walked into Richmond along the tow path from Teddington and it was very muddy. The massive storm clouds just missed us but made for impressive reflections in the puddles. It is a 3-mile walk or so from home and will help towards working off the Christmas sweets and dinner… so I can have some more tonight!!
Stunning shot! Love those clouds.

@creampuff Thank you - we just managed to catch a few raindrops and rested up in our favourite cafe with a cup of tea and a hazelnut short bread for me and eccles cake for Colin!

Very dramatic sky and reflection, fav for me. I hope you don't get flooding this year.

@nicolaeastwood @ahleena Thank you @tristansmum Luckily we are on slightly higher ground here and there is a flood defence (and the Thames Barrier) to protect us. It is the North of the UK (Yorkshire, Lancashire, Scotland etc.) that are suffering very badly. I am not sure if it would make your international news but there are thousands of people here who have had to leave their homes due to flooding (well over 6 feet in some areas) and many more who have no power. Flood defences were put in over the past couple of years but the rain has been so bad that it was not enough. I really feel so sorry for these people.
