When I first come down to Mum’s in Penzance I always like to walk along the prom the mile or so to Newlyn harbour. This time we saw the ‘Excellent’ - an old dilapidated boat that has been a trawler for the past 60 years with Stevenson’s Brothers. Before that it was involved in an undercover operation called the ‘Shetland Bus’ during the second world war when she transported undercover agents between Leith and Norway. She has such an amazing history but she needs a massive amount of restoration. With this in mind she is for sale for only £1.00 in the hope that someone will buy her and restore her to her former glory.

Here’s my article which I hope will highlight the ‘Excellent’s plight -

I love the pov, comp, and textures in this shot. I hope somebody does acquire her and give the restoration and loving care she deserves, after such a history.

@tristansmum I am hoping that by taking the photos someone may spot it, perhaps a charity and restore her to her former glory.
