It is so hot today. We visited Lamego in the day (we previously drove in last night). We had hoped to visit the cathedral (Sé) but as is often the case when we travel, it was covered in scaffolding and was closed to the public. However the cathedral courtyard was still accessible and was a haven of cool shade scented with roses.
