19th July 2015

Although I should be doing the washing from our week away, it was far more interesting to visit Kingston Police station on their open day this Sunday. It was really well organised and we got a 'behind the scenes' tour of the station that Colin worked at in the 1980's.

This lovely boy is Lansdowne. I asked the Sergeant why he was wearing the strange headgear and the story is really surprising. Apparently he kept tossing his head and seeming to have an eye problem. After a number of test it was discovered that he is actually very light sensitive and this is a specially designed set of horse sunglasses. Now he is happy and content and let everyone come and stroke him during the open day!
How great that they figured out what the problem was and did something about it.
