We’re feeling a bit down as Colin has an appointment tomorrow with his consultant and it will only be then that we know what whether his underlying problem has deteriorated and ultimately if we are given the all-clear to travel. What a medical past few days it has been! My sister Hester has also been very poorly to the extent that an ambulance had to be called to take her to hospital with complications arising from a bacterial infection that has spread to her knee - random. She is recovering and back at home now but some good news would be nice.
We decided to take a stroll to Bushy Park which is always much nicer during the week as it is so much quieter and the deer definitely seem to appreciate the peace. There are some very impressive bracket fungi... yet another autumnal sign. We both felt a lot better after some fresh air and I went off to meet my friend Sophie for lunch and a good old chin-wag afterwards!
