We had a morning of wandering around the Iguazu Park as we were not being collected until just before 2pm for our final internal flight to Buenos Aires. It is always difficult to settle when you know that you need to be back at a certain time but we made the most of our last few hours.

We had to go and see the falls again and this time they were in sunshine. However, my main aim today was to see as much of the wildlife as possible. In the end we saw turtles basking in the river, numerous butterflies including including the stunning Blue Morphos and masses of yellow ones feeding on a patch of salt, lizards and this monitor lizard who was well over 2 feet long. He had chosen to bask right next to the path so he made himself a photographic target!

I posted a few other photos of the wildlife here on FaceBook... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1014965788556102.1073742030.186301661422523&type=3&comment_id=1015036051882409¬if_t=photo_album_comment

The only thing we did not see were the infamous monkeys... no sight or sound of them! Sadly we then headed back to Buenos Aires for our final stop on our trip. It feels like quite a culture shock to have been amongst icebergs and then jungle over the past week and now we are in the urban jungle - a big metropolitan city with all the noise and clamour we have been free of for the past few weeks.
You must have had an amazing journey through all these great places! Lovely capture
