Today I managed to photograph not one but two events in Teddington for Demotix - my press agency. In the morning there was a demonstration in the High Street against the building of a third runway at Heathrow. I am against this as well but was photographing in a ‘neutral’ capacity! Dr Tania Mathias our local MP was also there.
Shortly afterwards the effects of Storm Desmond hit Teddington as our Christmas tree in the High Street was blown over. I really wanted to use a newspaper headline such as ‘Carnage in Teddington as Storm Desmond hits’ but unfortunately headlines have to be literal!
