24th November 2016

The fog returned today as we headed by train to the little town of Modena. This is the birthplace of Pavarotti and the area that Modena Balsamic Vinegar originates from. Unlike yesterday the fog did not lift and it was rather a cold and dank day.

The town is quite expensive and seems to be living on it’s connection with Pavarotti. However, the Duomo and the tower (Torre Ghirlandina) are very impressive and the angle of the tower is not all down to converging verticals as the tower is leaning in quite a precarious fashion!
