2nd August 2017

This should have been a photograph of Gatwick airport as I dropped Colin off today for his flight to Murcia.

The weather was atrocious as we drove along the M25 and M3 and I was so concerned about seeing Colin safely through Security and paying for the short term parking ticket that I totally forgot to get a pic! I wanted to stop by Kingston on the way home and luckily the SatNav picked up the fact that there had been a bad accident on the M3 but then decided to take the ‘pretty’ route via narrow country lanes in rain as torrential as being in a waterfall. Goodness knows where I went, it would have been really pretty if it had been sunny. After an hour and a half, twice as long as it should have taken I made it to Kingston.

This is an interesting plant that has appeared in the pot with the Jasmine plant. It looks like Fennel but it isn’t but I like the feathery leaves and it shows the rain of today. It’s very quiet at home but Washington hamster is keeping me company. The best thing I have done today was book one of our planned trips in Australia... to swim with humpback whales - I am really excited.
