18th December 2017

A day of rushing around today collecting ordered drinks from Asda and then tidying ups before Mum and Ian get back from Kenya.

However, this evening we headed over to Kew Gardens for their Christmas lights display. I had bought tickets over a month ago and was crossing my fingers for the weather. As it was, it was very cold and frosty with a light mist so actually perfect for the laser lights.

It really was a superb evening and it took us nearly two hours to walk the trail, stopping briefly for a hot chocolate. I had taken my tripod but in actual fact it was not needed and I took all photos handheld with high ISOs. The most spectacular display was saved until last with a floodlit Palm House and a laser show projected onto a purpose designed fine spray fountain. It was amazing. Here are some more images from the evening - https://www.facebook.com/pg/EmmaDurnfordPhotography/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1690839137635427

We warmed up afterwards with a Nandos in Teddington!
