This morning I checked in for both of our Finnair flights and we are trying out usual trick of booking a window and aisle and hoping that the middle seat will remain free - fingers crossed. Later we heads into Kingston as I had booked into deliver my parcel of 192 greet by cards to Bentalls at dock D.
We’ve often driven past this place but I’ve never been in. I thought I’d just walk it down the slope but apparently I should have driven but they let me in anyway. I understand why you should drive as it is a quarter of a mile walk underground in an amazing subterranean world I knew nothing about! I eventually got to Dock D and checked in my rather small box and then walked back another quarter of a mile to get out. I’ve got no idea where the cars eventually come out.
I finished packing in the afternoon and realised pretty soon on that I’ll have to sacrifice the convenience of my wheely hand luggage in favour of my rucksack as it will not fit in my suitcase. My lovely long boots that I had planned to wear with my dress also didn’t make it so I’ll have to look Nordic in my furry snow boots instead!
Last of the pancakes this evening and we set up Whiskey’s automatic feeder for the day we are away and before our neighbors Mum can come in to feed him. We have an early start but as I can’t sleep early I went to bed at 1.00am!
