Over to Ashstead first thing this morning to catch up on progress on Colin's family tree with his genealogist - some more names have been added to the chart which is good. It started raining torrentially!
We headed into Kingston to buy the BBQ that Colin has been thinking about for some time. We grabbed lunch in 'Coin de Paris' and tried to dodge the torrential rain which started again soon after we arrived.
Unfortunately the buying experience which should have been quite good was rather marred by totally inept staff in John Lewis which is unusual but we picked ourselves up by using our free coffee and cake vouchers before they expire at the end of the month.
For some reason the swans which normally congregate in this area of the river were paddling randomly all across the river!
