31st January 2019

It was bitterly cold this morning and thick snow is forecast for a lot of the country which I will not hold my breath waiting for! This is the frosty garden first thing this morning. We drove (or at least I did as Colin’s eye is still healing) over to East Sheen so that Colin could get a plain lens put in his glasses to help with seeing in the interim before his next operation.

Later in the day I had a routine blood pressure check and discovered to my shock that my blood pressure appears to have gone through the roof. I have no idea why and went swiftly to our local pharmacist to check it where is went even higher. I am really worried and have no idea why as this has never happened before. I will investigate further…

It started snowing heavily but is not pitching on the ground, just the roofs of the cars. However, it is very bad down in Cornwall and Mum and Ian are supposed to be flying back down from Scotland tomorrow. I contacted Mum who knew nothing about it but will monitor the situation. I am worried as I know what they are like and so fat there are 100 abandoned vehicles and people stranded across the county.
