Happy Birthday to me (no ‘0’ this year but I’m heading for old age)!
After opening some great presents of a Radley wallet, shower gels, hot chocolate, books, and vouchers we enjoyed croissants. We are also going to Athens at the end of March which is my big present - organised by me but funded by Colin!
Then we headed up town to the Natural History museum to see the Wildlife Photography exhibition which I like to see each year. Another good year but not quite as outstanding as other years we have been. Colin had baked me a lemon drizzle cake for my birthday so we enjoyed a couple of slices that we smuggled into the museum tea shop.
Then we took the tube over to Warren Street to visit a little museum that Colin had read about - The Grant Museum owned by the UCL. What an amazing place. It has more exhibits than the Natural History Museum and it’s all crammed into cabinets. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. One to take mum and Ian to on their next visit.
We headed back for a cup of tea and another slice of the lemon drizzle cake and then out to Bar Estilo again for my birthday meal. Although we only went last week, I could not think of anywhere else and as we had such a good meal last week we repeated it this week - with even more tapas. It was lovely (and the waiters sang happy birthday to my embarrassment).
