14th June 2019

We woke still feeling quite tired this morning as it turns out we do have neighbours and for some reason they turned on music and were shouting really loudly from 3.15am to 4.30am. We had a very leisurely morning, so leisurely that we were still not dressed when Ivo popped by to get a copy of our passports. My legs have taken a beating from the local mozzies. I was wearing shorts last night and now I have literally over 25 bites in total which are incredibly itchy.

Later we headed for a swim before breakfast. We chilled out all day before walking around the peninsula to a lovely bar and enjoying a beer. A little earlier I spent some time with my long lens photographing the vast number of butterflies which come to feed on our hedge nearby. I have seen a huge Swallowtail, Painted Ladies, Blues, Red Admirals, Large whites and hedge Browns to name but a few. Unfortunately the Swallowtail did not put in another appearance when I had the camera! Back for another swim (swimmers dried in just an hour or so from earlier).

We headed out to dinner to the place we had a beer earlier. This time the service was great with a friendly woman who gave us complimentary liqueurs afterwards. A better bill this time and a really nice meal. The temperature dropped just a little for our walk back which was really nice.

An extremely relaxing day!
