So after our lazy day yesterday and Ivo having a word with the neighbours we had a really good sleep (and leaving the fan on for a bit of breeze).
We caught the 10.30 water ferry from Lumbarda to the walled town of Korçula. It was a lovely journey with just 4 other passengers and we got to see at least four other islands on route. Korçula is a pretty town and the little streets within the city walls are arranged like a leaf with small cobbled side streets all running off the main flagged street. Another extortionately priced set of coffees overlooking the sea!
We wandered around the town and managed to find an ATM which has been a theme of our trip as so few places accept credit cards!
An impressive fish and chip lunch which I shared with a tortoiseshell cat followed by raspberry and white chocolate ice-cream and lemon sorbet for Colin. I nipped off on a pretext as I know that Sydney hamster would want me to get Colin a little Fathers Day Present and I had a good idea of what to get!
We caught the 4.00pm ferry back to our village and I popped up to the supermarket to get some pasta and bits and bobs for dinner in. I think I prepared a pretty impressive spread and we ate it accompanied by a bottle of Ivo’s home made red wine - actually very nice.
