At last, despite feeling despondent about the suggestion we are going into lock down again, we headed out for a ‘trot’ in Bushy Park on our couch to 5K. I am so disappointed as we had planned to drive down to Mum’s on the 8th of November - her birthday and take a cake and watch her open her presents. I have only managed to see her once this year due to the last lock down so every step I ran I imagined I was stamping on Boris Johnsons face which made me feel a tiny bit better!
As we are going to Karen and Ian’s tomorrow (kind of rubbing salt in the wound that I cannot see my family), I had promised to make a coffee cake for afternoon tea so I stocked up on ingredients at Tescos in the afternoon.
Boris Johnson made an announcement in the afternoon as basically somebody had allegedly ‘leaked’ - read that as deliberately revealed - about the plans for lock down. He confirmed this by saying that the country will go into lock down on the 5th of November until the 2nd of December. There was a tiny bit of me hoping it would be delayed so we could get to Cornwall but now it is definite that we will not. I am so disappointed.
