A bad night last night as soon after I had booked up our last minute trip to Portugal Colin’s shoulder which we had thought had improved flared up again. With very little sleep and a return to the spare room I did not feel as good as yesterday. I did manage to book a rental car with an extra driver and recovery for only £62 for 8 nights though so that was good.
Colin rallied and cooked an amazing meal of wild duck (using 2 that have lived in the freezer for a couple of years) with cherry sauce and an extra red wine sauce which used an entire bottle or red wine reduced to a thick syrup - delicious.
These are the hyacinths that Mum brought with her as they would have flowered at her house with no witnesses. They smell amazing.
