22nd January 2013

I was getting worried as I still had not taken a photograph for today by 4 o’clock this afternoon and the light was fading. Unfortunately I have been feeling quite ‘delicate’ this morning as a result of a combination of two things - the first was having consumed a 'reasonable' amount of alcohol with our good friends last night and secondly having fallen flat on my back on the ice on the walk home from their flat early this morning (one may be connected to the other!!).

Feeling in need of some caffeine and fresh air I walked to ‘Astrora Coffee’ this afternoon - a local specialist shop in Teddington who not only grind coffee but also roast it as well - smells lovely in there. This is just a few of the large range of freshly roasted coffee beans (I bought the Brazilian beans in the end).
A striking image comes to the rescue!

I don't have a problem with caffeine in the morning. It's when I don't have caffeine that there's a problem! Nice shot and ditto @serpantmedia re the colours.

this is an inspiration to shoot out of my box. The color and repetition makes me think of Tibet and the drums around the palace. A bit of a stretch but it seems ritualistic - isn't sitting down for a coffee with friends just that.
