Today is World Water Day first observed in 1993 to encourage people not to use their taps for a whole day.

This is the River Thames at Twickenham looking downstream towards Richmond. It was high tide this afternoon and the river often floods at this point, you can tell by the colour of the water how much rain there has been recently - I did not worry too much about not using our taps today.
Think we can be sure there'll be no hosepipe bans this year!!

It still looks very wintry! But I expect the river Thames is not clear at any time!
