What’s the best way to get over jet-lag and cope with this weather? Start planning another trip with a visit to our local library!

Our library is an Edwardian building, built in 1906 with funds from Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish-American philanthropist. It also happens to be in the road that my husband grew up in some years ago.

The interior is beautiful with an ornate plasterwork ceiling and at the bottom of each arch is the name of an author and poet - in this case ‘Longfellow’.
It is so good that they are still using the old building! Libraries seem to want new technology and modern facilities!

@maggiemae @helixconcepts This really is a lovely library, the staff are very friendly and although it is Edwardian and quite ornate, new technology has arrived with automated machines and IT - a good combination of new and old

@pam1 Bit embarrassed to say after our recent trip but we are hoping to visit Yellowstone in September with an unusual route back via Chicago and Eastern Canada!
