This is some cultivated Valerian in the flower beds around St Luke's church. Valerian is used in herbalism as a sedative and to provide pain relief.

The main reason I have chosen this photograph is that I have just discovered a whole set of tools I did not know about in Aperture - I have applied the 'edge blur' effect which gives a dream like effect... probably not to be used all the time but I do like the look.
I love this, Emma, the edge blur is beautiful. Will you be using this effect for some of your cards?

@tristansmum I like the effect but my cards are all local sights and landmarks and so I tend to keep them as purely representational... could do a special range in the future perhaps.
