This was an exciting weekend, hence the late posting of my photograph. I took part in 'Photo24' which was a marathon of 24-hours of photographing London starting at 6pm on Friday and finishing the following day at 6pm. It was arranged by 'Advanced Photographer' magazine and 'Digital SLR' with sponsorship from Samsung. There were about 150 people registered to take part.
I had planned the first part of my shoot and as I have always wanted to 'shoot light trails' on Westminster bridge this is where this is! A tourist walked into shot but I rather like the fact it shows how busy the bridge is even later in the evening. I will be honest, I (and many others) did nip home and get a few hours sleep before coming back early in the morning to complete the shoot.
@nicolaeastwood Thank you so much. I'm shattered today and sorting out the second Flickr album and then I'll catch up. I've always wanted to do this, it is very hit and miss and double decker buses have the best effect! Not sure why everyone wanted to stand right next to where I was with tripod for their photos posing in front of Big Ben!!
There is talk of a second event sometime in the future. It was brilliant and very well organised although I can say that now I have had a decent nights sleep - I am so stiff from all the walking and carrying the kit. Next time I think I'll try and book a cheap Travelodge room well in advance to drop back into so I can do some early morning stuff.
