This snake was spotted in the grass at the pond. He looked real enough, but when I flipped him over, he was a little on the stiff side and a perfectly willing subject for my shot, especially with a short lens!
You did flip him over with something long, right? What we will do for a good picture! This is a super head shot - like your composition. Not sure I could have done it.
@milaniet@cjphoto I am now freaking out a little bit -- my brother said he may have just been playing dead. I had gardening gloves on when I picked him up, but I got really close to him with my camera and my face!
