It was "birds a-go-go" at the feeder this morning. The weather has turned cold, and they need to eat. (I have a second suet feeder that is full.) I saw a pair of Northern Flickers including this beautiful male. It is not as sharp as I'd like-- I was leaning out the dining room window and didn't have much time to brace let alone use a tripod!
Forgive my absence this week. I am preparing for a 3 person show at our local library and need every minute to get the 16 images printed, matted and framed by the end of the month.
Beautiful shot of this flicker - Nothing wrong with that leaning out the window shot. Now that it's bird season I'm going to have to get out my tripod, too. I don't know that I've seen more than 1 or 2 of the flickers ever around here. Their markings and color are so pretty.
