Wonderful shot! I have trouble getting the blue jays to stay in one place long enough to get a decent shot. A nice snowstorm does help. He does appear to have the "king of the roost" attitude. Your colors are great.
We don't have them here very often, but back in my home town in Connecticut the blue jays were very aggressive with other birds. This image shows the color beautifully, and the snow adds atmosphere.
