A quick shot from the head of the trail at Hammonasset State Park. The air was 30 degrees. I don't want to think about what the water temperature might be! The gulls don't seem to mind.
Great timing - almost looks like the gull is being herded in by the waves. Looking at that water reminded me of the news story tonight when they were talking about the "Polar Plunge" in Chicago this weekend - have to break the ice to have it! No way! Great cause that I do support - but not with the body!
I like the wave action and spread wings. I spent many, many days at Hammonasset when I was a kid, back when they had the gigantic boardwalks and pavilions.
