We went out to the butterfly gardens at Hammonasset State Park this afternoon search of a few butterflies. There were two battling Monarchs, a few Skippers and a Painted Lady. Much of the garden had fried in the heat and the drought, but the butterfly bushes survived along with a few perennials.
