No need to comment - this is really lame!
I was attempting to do another get pushed challenge pic where I had to incorporate shadows with a out of focus technique,
Well - I wanted to have low key shadows with the face fading into the darkness instead of the regular shadows found on the ground.
I got the low key shadows all right, but the out of focus thing did not work! So, you get this very plain jane shot of a small ornament that I was using to attempt it.
@farmreporter There's no doubt that the get pushed challenge really makes you work on your techniques - it's such a good learning tool - like you I would also struggle with this challenge. :) Cheers Rob
High five for trying those challenges, you are braver than me...if I can stick to this project, I may do that in the future, and hope by than you can give me advise :)
Fun little figurine. It's always good to try, to see what works and what doesn't and why. Unfortunately when frustration hits, we accept what we've done that day and plan to try again another.

This was just another one of those cases where I could see what I wanted in my mind's eye but just could not get it to work!!

You really should give the get pushed challenges. They are a lot of fun and the person you are paired with usually will give you challenges you can handle. @jackies365
Yep - the fails are okay and the 365 community is the perfect venue to show your fails! The members all know what you are going through and encourage you on your way. @joansmor

Yes - Kathy I will be giving this a try again. I used the double exposure method that I used with the trees and it gave me a double figure that just did not look right. I think I will try this with the zoom technique and see what happens.
The photo itself is nice and I did get the low key effect but I guess I am frustrated with the out of focus that I wanted.
