May Words - Mother Goose

Cackle, cackle, Mother Goose
Have you any feathers loose?
Truly I have, pretty fellow,
Half enough to full a pillow.
Here are quills, take one or two,
And down to make a bed for you.
(Mother Goose rhyme)

This picture is the cover of a 30 year old Mother Goose book given to my oldest daughter by her grandmother, my mother, when she was born.

The book has duck tape on it to hold it together and the pages are well worn from countless bedtime readings. (I had most rhymes memorized at one time)
Lovely, Wendy!

Neat! I was raised on Mother Goose. That picture looks very vintage too.

Never heard this rhyme before, how sweet. I recognise many nursery rhymes on the cover though :)
