January Words - Resolution by farmreporter

January Words - Resolution

I have been recording Glengarry barns for many years now, starting off for my own personal diary, and then when I was the farm reporter at the Glengarry News.
I have over 400 barns photographed with a small bit of information on each.
For years, Hubby has been telling me that I need to do a calendar of them and that it would be well received by the local farming community.
The local historical society has also wanted me to send them all the photos and info for their archives.
This year I resolve to work with the local historical society to document these rapidly disappearing monuments.
I dream of someday recording each and every barn in the area.
How wonderful. What an endeavor, every barn! This resolution will take a lot of discipline and organizational skills. I suspect you won’t have any trouble accomplishing this project!

Thank you, ladies! I think that I will have good support to see this through.
The head archivist is a very good to work with and Hubby will encourage me as well.It will be good to get out with my camera and the new lens is perfect for the job!

Really beautiful shot Wendy. I'm jealous of your snow . . . again. But I love the image too :)

fabulous idea. I completely agree that the barn pictures could make a really really nice calendar. Both Joe and I made "art" resolutions (things we would make or write) during the coming year. Seems like these could be highly more satisfying (and achievable) resolutions than "exercise" or something like that.
