I'm not moving very far today because the weather is horrible! It's not often we have snow here, but it's been a blizzard since yesterday, the wind is particularly bad.
The maths building is on the right and the blue building on the left is some of the student accommodation. I took this on the way to the laundrette, and that's as far as I'm willing to move for the rest of the day! - Lucy
Nice modern buildings in York. We are in day 1 of a blizzard today with 8 inches (20cm) of snow already and more promised for tomorrow. I'm not going anywhere either!
Living close by helps in weather like this - accomodations and campus right next to each other.. I've not moved out of the house since two days ago but I usually find something to take a picture of when looking out the windows. today it was an ice sculture.(pls. see my album 2)
@bobhuegel This one is actually in Lancaster, but it's similar to York in many ways, just smaller. I'm going to attempt to get back to York tomorrow so I'm hoping the snow stays away! - Lucy
@purplehaze12 The wind has been awful, we had an email telling us to keep our windows shut because the wind would do them some damage if we left them open! - Lucy
@rhos There's been a big rejuvenation of the campus, and the uni has grown in the past couple of years because we're now in the Top 10 in the UK - we need more room! - Lucy
