The ArcelorMittal Orbit

This is a picture from the bottom of the ArcelorMittal Orbit, the tallest sculpture in the UK. This is one of the structures on the London 2012 Olympic Park site and was open during the 2012 games, giving a view of not only the Olympic park, but also the rest of the London skyline. They have just opened up the park again to have an “in progress tour”, to see how the park is being transformed from Olympic stage to accommodation and local community facilities, as well as keeping the stadium as a major sporting venue.

@doodlerdeb @monkeykid @gamelee Thank you everyone. I was a bit limited with how to capture the sculpture as we were not allowed far enough away from it to get a side view because of all the building work they are doing, but this seemed to work well! - Louise
