There are some ugly neglected places in York, and over the last weekend some of them have had attention from artists who have decorated parts of the outside with wallpaper. This has brightened them up a bit. Three places were treated - the Dark Arches on Leeman Road, the Bonding Warehouse and the White Swan Hotel.
These are on the south side of the Bonding Warehouse, a riverside building that has been disused since being seriously affected by flooding in 2000, and which has deteriorated a lot in that period, despite various abortive schemes to bring it back into use.
