These plants grow at the bottom of my garden. I rather like their cheerful colour against the fence in a patch of land where conditions are rather inhospitable.
Imagine my surprise when I found a website saying they were invasive weeds!
A beautiful capture of this lovely Montbretia flower. Who can give me a good definition of weed ?
Thank you very , very much Katharine for you two fav`s They both made it to the PP. Thanks to you . I own you one. ( or two )
A weed is only a plant in the wrong place. We have these in our garden also in one of those difficult places. Certainly not invasive in the UK. Great colour and composition.
Lovely shot. These plants are considered a week over here. But they are a beautiful weed. They grow wild on the sides of the road and look lovely but when they get into your garden they multiply like crazy and take over. I love them on the side of the road!
@janturnbull They were classed as flowers when I planted them sometime in the 80's. I can see them being classed as weeds as I manage to grow them so well. Katharine
