Oliver Baking by fishers

Oliver Baking

On my first evening with Louise and family, Oliver read a Puddle Lane story. A little black cat called Tim ate some of the magician's green sugar mice and turns green in the story. Oliver thought it would be fun if we made some sugar mice and wondered if we would turn green when we ate them. We made the sugar mice but we didn't manage the extra magic and non of us turned green (only had a sugar rush)!

@pyrrhula Thank you. Oliver loves to bake with me. I think he regards it as something to do with grandma as he refuses to bake with his mum. katharine

@bruni I'm making the most of it while I can with the grandchildren. We bought the books mentioned for Louise when she was learning to read and this was one of her favourite stories. Katharine

Great story and photos of Oliver and his sugar mice!

@dougk Thank you. We enjoyed our time making them. The trouble is eating them makes the children a little hyper-active (pity it didn't have that effect on the adults!) Katharine
