Grand Trianon, Versailles by fishers

Grand Trianon, Versailles

To follow on from Mum's shot yesterday, this is another part of the Versailles estate called the Grand Trianon. It was known as the marble Trianon because of the beautiful pink marble pillars and arches. We found this part of the estate very interesting as much more of the furniture remains, although it is furniture from the time of Louis-Philippe and Napoleon I rather than that of Louis XVI. In the actual Chateau de Versailles, the furniture was lost in the Revolution.

I think you could have a very lovely tea party in this pavilion! - Lucy
What a place! The marble arches are stunning and I love the patterns in the black and white floor!

I love the feeling of space and emptiness that you've portrayed in this image, with just the small group of figures at the back.
