This art nouveau-syle metro decoration is one of only two remaining examples of glass canapes in Paris (apparently some have been given to other cities!) They were designed by Hector Guimard for when the metro opened in 1900.
This station, Abesses, is the deepest station at 36 metres, and even has a lift to take you out (usually you're left with stairs or the occasional escalator). It's located in Montmartre, close to the Sacré-Coeur. - Lucy
Great capture of this beautiful and very famous Art Deco entrance.
