Viking Longboat by fishers

Viking Longboat

A rather unusual sight... in any city other than York! We're regularly invaded by Vikings, and this time they even brought their boat with them.

The longship appeared in its complete form between the 9th and 13th centuries and the average speed was between 5 and 10 knots. Not bad as long as it's not me having to row!
