The town of Pickering, again on the southern fringe of the North York Moors national park, is an attractive market town with a number of interesting features. One of those is the display of ancient wall paintings in the local church, and it was my intention to take photos of them. Sadly I couldn't, the church is temporarily closed due to building repair work on it's interior. However, I did spot this attractive sundial above the south porch entrance.
