Still beside Rawcliffe Lake in York, and you can see here that the lake is partly frozen. Quite a collection of birds are gathered in this unfrozen corner of the lake, including the two swans that we haven't seen for a while.
Amongst other species there are large numbers of Mallard ducks, a few geese and moorhens. No sign of the normally huge numbers of Canada Geese often found here though.

Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs. The Canada Geese seem to have abandoned the lake which helps the other water birds flourish.
