Life, death and hope by gaf005

Life, death and hope

We were walking past a fig tree in someone's garden today and this branch encapsulated so much with one dead fig from last year which has perished, one alive but the owner explained that they never ripened enough to eat, and a bud of hope which in a few weeks will spring into blossom.
Hello George! I saw your bud and it reminded me of a recent post of mine. Love your combination of life, death and hope! Great caption. Here is mine http://365project.org/thewatersphotos/365/2021-01-18

@thewatersphotos. Yes, very similar. The owner of the garden saw me taking photos and came out to chat. He explained that the figs never ripen but he leaves them on for the birds. He then told me about his most unusual hobby - which will feature in today’s photo of the day.

All the stages in one shot. The bud is a nice sign.
